อาจารย์ธีระกล่าวถึงบทบาททางการเมืองของศาลรัฐธรรมนูญไทย รวมถึงให้ความเห็นเกี่ยวกับบทบาทดังกล่าวในช่วงที่ผ่านมา ซึ่งเป็นช่วงที่ไทยตกอยู่ในวิกฤตการณ์เมือง อาจารย์ธีระเห็นว่า หากศาลรัฐธรรมนูญไม่สามารถวางตัวเป็นกลางทางการเมืองไทย ก็จะส่งผลต่อความน่าเชื่อถือในระบบยุติธรรมของไทยมากขึ้น ทั้งนี้ อาจารย์ธีระชวนให้คนไทยติดตามการทำงานของศาลรัฐธรรมนูญต่อไปในช่วงหลังจากการเลือกตั้ง ว่าจะมีความเปลี่ยนแปลงมากน้อยเพียงใด

Political Role of Thailand’s Constitutional Court

Teera Suteevarangkul talks about the political role of the Constitutional Court in Thailand. He gave his views on its role in the past, during which time Thailand had fallen deeply into the long drawn political crisis. He opined that if the Constitutional Court could not be politically neutral, it will cause an impact on the credibility of the Thai judicial system. Moreover, he urged Thais to follow closely the role of the Constitutional Court in the post-election period, whether this role will be shifted and toward which direction it may head.
